Since opening the Soundmine in 1996, Dan Malsch has produced bands from the US and Europe. His extensive work with his own music propelled him into producing, song writing, and engineering for other artists, and ultimately forming his own band: Cherryfix.

Dan's production credits include all genres of popular music, which he feels generates a Well-rounded producer as he infuses elements of various styles to produce unique, yet absorbingly interesting songs and arrangements.

A guitarist since the age of 12, Dan has played in bands throughout high school. He became interested in engineering and production in the 1980s while recording at studios in Pennsylvania. In 1990, he formed the band [Wicked] Maraya, recorded his first album at MorrisSound in Tampa, and toured Europe and the US extensively. As a teenager, these experiences in the music community not only inspired him to pursue a job in the industry, but led him to a career that he finds rewarding because of the people, the learning experiences, and most importantly, the music.
